A child has been abused. She's scared. He's hurting. They are in a strange place among strange people. She's crying. He's withdrawn. But this place is sort of like home. It doesn't look like a doctors office. She has a dolly. He has his blankie. The people around them really care. They aren't going to yell. They're listening. She's feeling better. He almost smiled.
Pegasus Child Advocacy Center is a child focused facility that invites law enforcement, child protection services, prosecutors, medical and mental health professionals to come together in one place to work together to evaluate cases of child maltreatment. At Pegasus we make sure children are not further victimized by the very systems designed to protect them.
